INTERNATIONAL TEACHERS OF POP DON'T DISS THE DISCO

Northern synth-enthusiasts International Teachers Of Pop have been pumping out unashamedly catchy bangers since their conception. Making a considerable number of pop-culture references along the way, from the Donna Summer-inspired bass line on 'After Dark' to the Kraftwerk-y easter eggs dropped into their re-imagined cover of Pink Floyd's 'Another Brick In The Wall', the title of the band's freshly-announced second album Pop Gossip feels extremely fitting. Accompanying the album news comes its squelchy lead track 'Don't Diss The Disco'. Focussing on danceable grooves and euphoric choruses, 'Don't Diss The Disco' is a love letter to "the North's premiere club night and its glorious people, HOMOELECTRIC in Manchester" Name-dropping Studio 54, Grace Jones & Bianca Jagger on a White Horse, it's another infectious slice of relatable synth-pop, that'll get you moving in no time. Pop Gossip will arrive on the 29th of May. -Holly Mullineaux
